Headley SEE Cultural Heritage Fund Announces New Funding Opportunity for South-Eastern European Heritage Projects

The Headley SEE Cultural Heritage Fund is excited to announce an open call for applications, inviting dedicated organizations from Southeast Europe to engage in groundbreaking projects focused on conserving and celebrating cultural heritage. This initiative represents a critical effort to enhance sustainability, inclusivity, and regional cooperation in the heritage sector.

The Fund’s initiatives aim to foster regional collaboration, enhance community engagement, and promote sustainable practices within the heritage sector. The Headley SEE Cultural Heritage Fund is seeking applications from civil society organizations and public institutions that are making a difference in the fields of heritage conservation and cultural awareness. Eligible applicants include museums, libraries, archives, and non-governmental organizations from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia.

Projects eligible for funding from the Headley SEE Cultural Heritage Fund must demonstrate innovative approaches to heritage conservation and significantly involve community engagement. The fund prioritizes initiatives that engage with and enhance local communities, promote regional cooperation and understanding, lead to long-term sustainable improvements within the cultural heritage sector, and are carried out in collaboration with other eligible heritage institutions from the region.

The Fund will support projects ranging in size, with up to 5,000 EUR available for small projects and up to 10,000 EUR for larger initiatives. The total available funding for this call is 34,000 EUR. Successful projects must clearly articulate the project’s goals, challenges, methods, and expected outcomes. Additionally, they are required to provide a detailed budget and financial planning and start implementation in 2024.
